Enter the universe

Getting Started

The Universe of Project: Valhalla shares all the features of our everyday world: the same countries, same public figures, and many of the same historical events. However, as a fantasy universe, it contains fictional additions that have reshaped the world historically and developmentally.

There are certain facts about the Project: Valhalla Universe that must be established to understand this alternate reality:

  • Alien races are not only an established fact among scientist and government officials, but they are also core members of Project: Valhalla. Aliens control galaxy-spanning empires and vast interstellar religious cults, inhabit other dimensions, and possess god-like powers that hold sway over the fate of the Universe.
  • Ancient aliens visited the Earth in the time of early man and altered its history in three ways:
    1. They introduced beliefs, which led to the first human civilizations in the Fertile Crescent and Egypt.
    2. They manipulated the human genetic structure to allow the potential for superhuman abilities.
    3. They spliced human DNA with that of at least three separate animal species: Andean Condors, Bottle-nose Dolphins and New World Monkeys to create Sister Races.
  • The Earth has various naturally-occurring Pocket Dimensions. Much like the myth of Shangri-La, they can only be entered from a specific location; otherwise, they are invisible to the naked eye and cannot be traversed. The three Sister Races were each placed in pocket dimensions to develop without human interference.
  • The Earth has locations that don’t exist in the real world but play a significant role in the Project: Valhalla storyline:
    1. Gyldenmark: A Scandinavian Island Nation off the coast of Norway.
    2. Costa Labra: An island chain off the coast of Argentina.
    3. Stiggia: A collection of massive caves underneath the eastern portion of Africa, from Tanzania to Madagascar. It is heated by geothermal energy and illuminated by bioluminescent fungi. It was shut off from the surface world at the time of the dinosaurs, allowing its development to continue unimpeded. Stiggia has had no contact with the surface world until recently.

The Origin

Seven individuals continue to experience the same dream: a woman composed of clusters of stars asking them for help. At first the dreams seem like nonsense and are easily ignored.
Eventually, a homing signal is embedded into the dreams, compelling each to travel to Arlington Cemetery.
They are led to the grave site of a woman who had been buried 70 years ago. Incredibly, she is very much alive, but in stasis. When they exhume her, the mystery only deepens, for she has no memories after her apparent
death. Left with more questions than answers, the group decides to remain together to learn the truth.

Epilogue

Billions of years ago, twin sisters
Omara and Selendria were born to a race of nearly omnipotent beings. Omara enjoyed a
wonder in all things; Selendria held an emptiness that could not be satisfied.
Eventually, a struggle arose between the two for the fate of the Universe itself. Selendria was
defeated and split into seven weaker forms, each imprisoned inside a new star.
It appeared the Cosmos had been sparred. For a time it had.
Yet, these Seven Sisters did awaken. Now too weak to fight them alone, Omara the One would need allies. To this end, she began influencing sentient life on many worlds, creating a force capable of defeating her Sisters—whether they wanted to or not.
On Earth, this force would become known as
Project: Valhalla.
